Fill a child’s life with JOY this Christmas!
This year Thorndale Church will be partnering with Operation Christmas Child to provide shoeboxes of gifts to children living in poverty around the world. These gifts will not only bring joy to children this Christmas, but they will provide them with essentials such as hygiene items and school supplies and will give them the chance to experience God’s love first hand. So grab a shoebox and let’s get started!
WAYS YOU CAN GET INVOLVED
PACK A GIFT & PRAY. A shoebox filled with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies tangibly demonstrates God’s love to a child in need. Click below for a guide on how to pack a shoebox.
MAKE IT A FAMILY AFFAIR. Download the “7 Steps to a Thankful Heart” for instructions on how to turn your packing experience into a night you will never forget. Your kids will learn to share their joy and give thanks for their many blessings, while making a difference for a child in need. You can also download the “Let’s Be Friend’s Coloring Page” and “God Time card” to help your kids share their stories with the child who will receive your shoe box.
DROP-OFF: Shoeboxes can be dropped off at Thorndale Church the week of Nov. 16th—23rd. The church will be open for drop-offs at the following times: Sundays – 8:00am to 11:30am, Monday through Friday – 8:30am to 3:30pm
