Purpose
The goal of the children’s ministry is to be a place where children meet and experience God.
Bagging Sunday School Promise/Covenant
Ministry components –
Sunday May 12th worship kick-off promise event.
Thorndale Church promises to provide:
- a bag filled with weekly Bible lessons, a children’s Bible and other fun items to learn about Jesus and his faith.
- weekly worship at 9:15 am, including a Children’s Message and Table of Grace where kids are seated near family to engage in quiet activities, while listening to the ongoing worship (music, prayers, etc.)
- quarterly fun and fellowship events, like Trunk or Treat and Advent Family celebration.
- activities that serve the neighborhood (food collection, crafts to share with person in need, decorating a Giving Tree with warm hats, gloves, socks, and scarves at Christmas time.
- guidance and counsel with lessons, when you need help.
Families promise to:
- Teach the weekly Bible lesson and accompanying activities.
- Pray daily with children at bedtime and meal times.
- Accompany the children to weekly worship as you model disciple for your child/grandchild/niece or nephew. (We want to be like Jesus: he worshiped God: so do we.)
- Participate in the fellowship and service events with children.
